Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation: Ensure substrates are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, tar, bitumen, surfactants, and silicones.

Rough Surfaces: Sandy or rough surfaces may require pre-treatment with Gerband 6300 Primer Paint.

Application: Apply an 8 mm thick bead of Fortax 6400 on the fixed surface. Increase thickness on uneven areas.

Wet Bonding: Press the airtightness layer gently onto the adhesive with a relief loop to maintain a 3–4 mm adhesive layer, following DIN 4108-7.

Dry Bonding: After a short drying time, apply pressure to ensure a strong bond with the airtight layer.

Layer Installation: The airtightness layer must be stress-free and fastened. Check all connections to ensure they are secure.
