What is WYKAMOL ULTRACURE® Damp-proof Cream
Ultracure© is a unique silane based emulsion cream for injection into brickwork for the control of rising dampness
Ultracure is a chemically active damp‑proof cream made by Wykamol, used as a chemical damp proof course (DPC) for controlling rising damp in walls. It’s a silane‑based (silicone chemistry) emulsion / cream formulation that can be injected into mortar course joints.
It is BBA‑approved, meaning it has been certified by the British Board of Agrément.
How It Works

Injection into holes: Holes are drilled into the mortar bed course (horizontal joint between bricks) at regular intervals. The cream is then injected (usually via an applicator or cartridge gun) into these holes, filling them nearly to the surface.

Migration & curing: Once in place, the cream migrates into the pores of the masonry and across the mortar joint, reverting (or transforming) into a liquid form initially. Then, as it cures, it forms a hydrophobic barrier. This barrier repels water rising from the ground, stopping or reducing rising damp.

Final cure time: Curing starts immediately, but full/ final curing depends on wall thickness. For typical wall thicknesses, this can take 2‑6 weeks for the DPC to fully establish.
